One of the most important things with Joomla is that it's had a big community for many years. Which means that you can find articles and tutorials about almost anything you need. If you have a problem in Joomla, you can be sure that someone has already solved it. So in most cases all you need to do is to find it on the forums. There's no need to reinvent the wheel. These forums are here to provide you with access to a network of dedicated Joomla enthusiasts sharing tips, tricks and support.
All of our items come with free support, and we have a dedicated support system to handle your requests. Support is limited to questions regarding the Template’s features or problems with the Template. We are not able to provide support for code customizations or third-party plugins. If you need help with anything other than minor customizations of your Template then you should enlist the help of a developer.

Unfortunately we're unable to guarantee that all third-party extensions will work "out of the box" with our Template. It’s impossible for Template authors to make the Template compatible by default with all existing extensions because there are thousands of available extensions.
This is extension author's responsibility. Each extension modifies Template/Joomla functionality in different way, so it's not up to us how it will work.
When you want to install an extension, the best option is to ask about details the authors of that extension – they will know better how the extension works, what elements of Templates it overrides and how to integrate it with custom Templates.
Only the “default” Joomla Template is compatible with all third-party extensions, because all extensions are designed to work with it. But authors of the extension should provide detailed instruction about how to integrate the extension with custom Templates, since nobody really uses “default” Template, everybody uses custom Templates.
Generally all extensions can work with all Templates but they sometimes have to be integrated manually. That’s because sometimes the extension and the Template override the same Joomla template file so there can be a conflict. In such cases you need to customize the Template and merge two conflicting template files into one template file.
This isn't something specific to our Templates, this is general rule for all Joomla templates and extensions.

Important! It's very important to backup all of templates and extensions in Joomla before installation, especially when you are working on a live server. We strongly recommend you to do not omit this step.
Important!
Note: After installation you can replace files or part of code from “new” template version with from “old” template files. Please note, that if you have heavily modified your template’s layout (php files) or few css we recommend to compare what has changed between file versions, and then merging those changes.
Note:
This chapter will take you through the steps needed to add a custom stylesheet to your Zo2 Podes, without worrying about lost changes when the template or ZO2 framework are updated. You don’t need to change any of the template files, so your custom stylesheet will not be overridden by any updates.
Before making any changes, please remember that you don’t have to edit css files from ZO2 framework.
remember that you don’t have to edit css files from ZO2 framework
In this tutorial we’ll show you, how to start customizing your Zo2 Podess in the right way.
The Zo2 Podes comes with structured CSS rules and properties which are compiled from the LESS files. However, there are some cases where we need to style the template without using LESS. One way is by using the custom CSS file with custom rules and properties to override a particular style in the template.
Since Zo2Framework version 1.3.1 we added an option called Load Custom CSS & JS: if enabled, custom.css file (in which you can override the default styling of the template) will be loaded in the frontend.
Custom CSS & JS

Advanced
The custom.css file is located in: zo2_template/assets/zo2/css. At first the function will look for the custom.css file from your templates css folder and if file exist then function will load this files. So if you need custom code please create a new custom.css file in insert inside css folder of your current active Zo2 Podes.

Some characteristics & benefit of the custom.css file
Another way to add the custom style to the Zo2 Podes is by adding a custom LESS file inside assets/zo2/development/less. If you’re unfamiliar with LESS, please take a look at http://lesscss.org/ to get a closer look to LESS syntax. Remember, LESS syntax also compatibles with normal CSS syntax, that means you can write CSS inside a LESS file.
assets/zo2/development/less
There are a lot of files inside assets/zo2/development/less directory, but pay your attentions to the file template.less, this is the main stylesheet file, where every template’s stylesheets is imported. You can modify this file as you need, and Zo2 Framework will check for any changes and compile LESS to CSS if needed.
template.less
If you are Joomla Developer, we recommend you should custom LESS by adding new file. To add new file, please follow the steps below:
your_file.less
zo2_template/assets/zo2/development/less
zo2_template/assets/zo2/development/less/template.less
When editing less file, if you encouter an error like this:
All files & directory in /xxx/assets/zo2/ directory need to be writable.
/xxx/assets/zo2/
The procedure of adding JavaScript code & files is same as above mentioned adding CSS files but this function will load javascript files from js folder of templates if system will find at least one custom.js file.
custom.js
If you want to add other javascript libraly then step by step
your_file.js
templates/zo2_template/assets/zo2/js
/zo2_template/assets/template.json
